From Screening to Support: ABCD and Partners Strengthen Early Childhood Development in Colorado

Our team at Assuring Better Child Health & Development (ABCD) collaborated with state partners to create the Developmental Screening to Referral Annual Snapshot, which highlights opportunities to improve early identification and support for young children.


This snapshot brings together data from Colorado’s Early Intervention program, state Medicaid services, and ABCD’s HealthySteps program to tell a shared story about children’s access to developmental screenings and early intervention services. By identifying barriers and opportunities across systems, the tool provides actionable insights for communities, healthcare providers, and policymakers to improve outcomes for children and families.
