HealthySteps in Colorado
HealthySteps® (HS), a program of ZERO TO THREE®, is an evidence-based, team-based pediatric primary care program that promotes nurturing parenting for babies and toddlers to support healthy development. Currently, there are more than 23 ABCD-supported sites in Colorado.
HealthySteps® is the only program of its kind that integrates a child development specialist into a primary care team. Working with physicians and families, the HealthySteps® Specialists provide personalized support to families to foster their young children’s healthy development.
Our Role
ABCD is the program lead for HealthySteps® in Colorado. We’re working to expand and implement HealthySteps® across the state to ensure it’s delivered as designed to achieve optimal health outcomes for babies and young children. We partner in this effort with the HealthySteps® National Office at ZERO TO THREE® and Children’s Hospital Colorado to pilot and support the implementation of new processes and practices to improve quality.
